Job summary
Cargo Supervisors lead teams of cargo agents to ensure all tasks are completed safely and in line with service standards. They also act as a key point of contact, supporting communication and coordination between all team members.
Roles responsibilities
- Oversee cargo build-up and breakdown, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient use of resources
- Plan and optimise freighter and flight builds
- Lead and coach warehouse staff daily, providing feedback and supporting training and development
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to meet SLAs and drive performance
Technical skills
- Freighter build planning and ULD optimisation
- Warehouse operations and cargo handling procedures
- Forklift operation (where certified)
- Physical fitness and manual handling practices
- Handling of special or regulated goods in accordance with procedures
Soft skills
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
- Effective communication skills
- Problem solving under pressure
- High attention to detail and commitment to compliance
