Job summary
Cargo Agents are the backbone of our cargo operations, playing a hands-on role in ensuring shipments are more efficient and reach the right place at the right time.
Roles responsibilities
- Load and unload cargo in preparation for onward transit
- Build up and break down shipments to prepare them for transportation
- Verify documentation, weights and shipment detail for accuracy
- Ensure non-standard or special cargo is handled and stored in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures
Technical skills
- Cargo documentation management and accurate record keeping
- Forklift operation (where certified)
- Physical fitness and safe manual handling practices
- Proficient in radio communication
- Handling of special or regulated goods in line with procedures
Soft skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective organisational skills
- Teamwork and coordination
- Good time management
- Adaptable to shifting priorities and operational demands
