Job summary
Ramp Agents are the ground handling professionals who ensure flights are ready for take-off both on time and safely.
Roles responsibilities
- Load and unload passenger baggage and cargo
- Operate ground service equipment such as baggage belts, belt loaders, pushback tugs, lifters, water/waste trucks, cleaning hi-lifters, mobile power units, air starts and air conditioning units
- Guide aircraft during arrival and departure
- Perform safety checks and secure aircraft doors
- Communicate with flight crews, dispatch teams and central load control.
Technical skills
- Equipment operation (baggage belts, belt loaders, pushback tugs, lifters, water/waste trucks, cleaning hi-lifters, mobile power units, air starts and air conditioning units)
- Technology operation of PDA’s, mobile devices, iPads, and ground-to-air radios
- Following safety procedures and aircraft handling
- Radio communication protocols.
