Oakland International Airport is located 11 kilometres (7 miles) south of downtown Oakland and 19 kilometres (12 miles) east of San Francisco. It was one of the first airports on the West Coast and was the departing point for several historic flights, including Amelia Earhart’s final flight in 1937. There are two terminals and four runways.
