Felipe Ángeles International Airport, commonly known as NLU, is located in Zumpango, State of Mexico, Mexico. It is one of the newest major airports in Latin America and was completed in record time – just under three years. It is one of the primary airports serving Mexico City, along with its metropolitan area and the surrounding central region. Named after General Felipe Ángeles, a prominent figure in the Mexican Revolution, the airport is situated approximately 45 kilometres (28 miles) north of downtown Mexico City.
