Kungming Changshui International Airport (KMG) is the main gateway to the Yunnan Province in southwest China. It is located approximately 25km (15.5 miles) northeast of Kunming, the province’s capital city. It is situated at an altitude of about 2,100 meters (6,900 feet) above sea level, one of the highest major airports in China. Kunming is known as the ‘Spring City’ thanks to its mild climate and serves as a key entry pint for tourists exploring the stunning natural landscapes of Yunnan, including the Stone Forest, Dianchi Lake and the breath taking Yuanyang Rice Terraces.
