Gold Coast Airport, formerly known as Coolangatta Airport, is an international airport located at the southern end of the Gold Coast and 90 kilometres (56 miles) south of Brisbane. It is one of the country’s fastest-growing airports and the gateway to Australia’s top tourist destination. The runway cuts through the state borders of Queensland and New South Wales which have different time zones, but the airport operates on Queensland time all year round.
