Named after astronaut, Ellison Onizuka, who was born and raised in Kona and died in the 1986 Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport is the primary airport on the Island of Hawaii. A large proportion of the runway is built on a lava flow from 1801 and the three terminals have been designed in an open-air tropical style. We provide ground services here.
