Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is located about 8 kilometres (5 miles) southeast of downtown Austin and serves the Greater Austin metropolitan area. It covers 4,242 acres with two runways and three helipads. Based on the site of the Bergstrom Air Force Base, it is the third busiest airport in Texas.
