Meet Our 2026 We Are Menzies Global Award Winners

01/05/26

Every year, the We Are Menzies Awards shine a spotlight on employees who go above and beyond, living our values and making a real difference for customers, communities and one another. This year was no exception.

With more than 6,000 nominations submitted globally, six exceptional colleagues have been recognised for their extraordinary contributions that embody our values: teamwork, sustainability, agility, customer focus, integrity, and safety & security. Each winner has demonstrated outstanding commitment, professionalism and impact in their role.

Employee of the Year & Teamwork Award – Leng Tou, Cabin Services, Macau International Airport (MFM)

Leng Tou, a Cabin Services Lead Agent in Macau, has been named Employee of the Year 2026, following her win in the Global Teamwork Award.

When a passenger realised she had inadvertently left her wedding and engagement rings on board an aircraft after disembarking, Leng acted immediately. Understanding the urgency of the situation, she assembled a team to search for the rings before they could be disposed of with cabin waste. Together, the team meticulously searched through more than 30 bags of refuse and discarded items until the rings were successfully recovered.

Leng’s actions show what it means to go the extra mile, and she is a truly deserving Employee of the Year.

Safety & Security – Tobin Kaiko, Ramp, Spokane International Airport (GEG), USA

Tobin prevented a potential aircraft collision and damage by stopping an aircraft pushback at a critical moment. By using correct hand signals and following standard operating procedures, Tobin demonstrated exemplary situational awareness and an uncompromising commitment to safety.

Integrity – Walena Mayson, Passenger Services, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), USA

Walena located a colleague’s misplaced work pouch containing valuables, immediately alerted dispatch and ensured it was returned as quickly as possible, demonstrating honesty, accountability and respect for others.

Agility – CeeJay Facey, Ramp, Norman Manley International Airport (KIN), Jamaica

In the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, Cee‑Jay showed extraordinary agility by serving as the primary ground support coordinator for over 100 relief flights, helping ensure critical aid reached those who needed it most.

Customer Focus – Jack Robertson, Cargo, Melbourne Airport (MEL), Australia

When a shipment of life-saving medical cargo was accidentally offloaded, Jack immediately intervened to rectify the error. He navigated a high-pressure, time-critical situation to ensure the cargo was successfully reloaded and uplifted to Perth without delay. His quick thinking directly enabled patients to receive essential care, earning praise from the customer as a “reminder of the strength of our partnership.”

Sustainability – Craig Tener, HR, Brisbane Airport (BNE), Australia

Craig led the transition of key processes such as onboarding and the digitalisation of employee records, significantly reducing paper usage while increasing accuracy and speed, delivering meaningful, sustainable change.

Congratulations to all our global winners, regional finalists and nominees.
