Edinburgh Airport baggage information28/07/22
In a joint approach with Edinburgh Airport and Swissport, we have now consolidated the majority of the unaccompanied bags at a Baggage Repatriation Centre near the airport.
We are currently working through a process of repatriating the bags, however Passengers can also collect their bags in person.
It is open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm and parking is available.
Please bring with you:
- Luggage tags (barcode you were given when you checked in) or the reference number you were given when you reported your lost baggage
- A form of ID
How to get to the Baggage Repatriation Centre
If arriving to the airport via the main entrance on Eastfield Road passengers are to take a left at the Moxy Hotel continue along Fairview road and take first turning on the right, continuing to the end of the short road and then turn left onto Almond Road. The temporary Baggage Repatriation Facility is 280m ahead on the right had side of Almond Road.
If passengers cannot collect their bags, they will be processed in the usual way via World Tracer and sent by courier to their home address or retagged for an appropriate flight.
We understand the frustration and distress delayed baggage can have on people and our dedicated team is working hard to reunite baggage with passengers as soon as possible.
Please note: BA customers that departed from London Heathrow from the 16th of July and have still not received your bag, the baggage repatriation process is currently being managed directly by BA and BA will courier it by road to you directly from London rather than put it on a flight to Edinburgh.
