Menzies records third consecutive year of double-digit growth

This week we released the Menzies Aviation Annual Review & Sustainability Report for 2023, which highlighted our incredible year with a record 10.7% increase in revenue to $2.2 billion.

This third consecutive year of growth was underpinned by our incredible team’s commitment to delivering industry leading services to our global airline customers, and their passengers.

Throughout the year, we made incredible progress in unlocking our capabilities, confirming our position as an industry leader in all key business areas across our operations, and taking advantage of new market opportunities. 

By signing new licenses and expanding contracts across 31 airports in eight countries, we positioned the business to take advantage of continued positive tailwinds. This propelled the aviation sector to a point where passenger traffic is edging closer to matching pre-pandemic demand.

This is a trend we also experienced in our air cargo business which now operates from 72 locations across 36 countries.

We continue to be adamant that growth cannot come at the expense of our commitments as a responsible and forward thinking employer, and that focus enabled us to make great progress against our ‘All In’ sustainability plan.

Some highlights on this include:

 

  • Committed to the Science Based Initiatives (SBTi) based targets to be net-zero across scopes 1,2,3 by 2045
  • Reduced emissions by 26,000 tonnes CO2e since 2019, underlining progress against 50% reduction target for 2030
  • Increased electric GSE to 17% globally, on track to meet 25% by 2025
  • 20% of senior leadership positions are now held by female colleagues
  • Contributed $275,000 to a broad range of community projects

 

We are incredibly proud of the way our teams work across the globe, the effort they put in day in day out, and the achievements we have had across the year because of their hard work.

2024 has started with a flurry of transformational deals in target markets and our team at Menzies is ready to make the most of these opportunities to deliver further growth and profitability for the business.
