Menzies Aviation: reflecting on a year of sustainable growth, industry leading aviation services and collaboration

It has been another productive and exciting year at Menzies Aviation! Looking back at 2023, we are proud of so many accomplishments, and as we look ahead to 2024, we are committed to making remarkable strides defined by sustainable growth, industry-leading aviation services, and collaboration.

As the undisputed world leader in aviation services, we take this position, and the responsibilities it comes with, very seriously. We are committed to safety, security, and high quality passenger experiences. We are about excellence, dedication and unparalleled customer service, and therefore, our commitment to providing the best and safest practices in the industry remains unwavering. Our success is only possible because of the fantastic people that make up our organisation. We remain steadfast in our commitment to attract, retain, and grow the best talent in aviation services. Diversity, equity and inclusion are fundamental to our business and constitute our core values. To that end, this year, we committed to having 25% of senior leadership positions being filled by women by 2025, and 40% in middle management by 2033. We’ve made significant progress towards this target, strengthening our female leadership in MEAA, and taking a step closer to our 25by25 target, increasing the number of women in senior leadership roles to 20%.

It is vital that we continue to be industry leaders, demonstrating our commitment to a Net Zero future. Following COP 28 earlier this month, it is clear that we need to pursue meaningful actions above all else. 2023 is expected to have been the hottest year on record, underlining the need for a global, science-based approach. Among the potential solutions, the continued electrification of our Ground Support Equipment (GSE) is key to decarbonisation, and an important element of our commitment to achieve net zero across all 3 scopes by 2045.

Next month, I will participate in the World Economic Forum meetings in Davos where I will meet with aviation leaders and regulators and explore how we can collaborate and improve aviation across the world. I will discuss business growth and expansion, fair wages, employee well-being, community development, and how Menzies Aviation can contribute to a more equitable economic framework.

Positive change in our company and industry will continue to be our mission in 2024. I wish our customers, team-members, and all other stakeholders a Happy New Year filled with good health, success, and peace.
