15/07/19

LATAM Airlines have selected Menzies Aviation to continue providing ground handling services at four airports in Colombia.

The three-year contract represents 40,000 turns per year across the four airports: El Dorado International Airport in Bogota, José María Córdova International Airport in Rionegro, Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport in Palmira and Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport in Barranquilla.

LATAM has been an important customer for the past 7 years, and now operates one of the largest route networks in the world.

Giles Wilson, CEO, said: “LATAM is the dominant player in the South American market and a valued customer of Menzies. LATAM’s decision to renew their contract after nine years goes to show what a great job our team do day in and day out, ensuring we deliver a safe and secure service with aircrafts departing on time. I look forward to continuing our relationship with LATAM in Colombia.”

Sylvia Trost, SVP Central & South Americas, said: “A big thank you to my team in Colombia for their commitment to quality. Special thanks to General Manager Mario Echeverri, Ops Director Jorge Bello in Bogota, and Station Managers Inirida Luque (Rionegro), Felipe Bernard (Cali) and Andres Mercado (Baranquilla).”
