Menzies Aviation brings new life to CERCITOP’s residential facility in Lisbon
22/11/24Global HR leaders from Menzies Aviation, the leading service partner to the world’s airports and airlines, have joined forces with Just a Change, a Portuguese non-profit organisation, to help renovate CERCITOP’s residential facility dedicated to providing care for young people with disabilities.
During a day filled with energy, teamwork, and dedication, Menzies leaders worked tirelessly to refurbish the recreational room in CERCITOP’s Lisbon residential facility, painting and restoring the space to create a welcoming environment for its beneficiaries.
CERCITOP, established in 1999, plays a crucial role in providing social, health, and educational support services, helping to foster self-esteem and independence among its users. The organisation employs 240 staff members and provides care to approximately 1,650 individuals with varying degrees of dependency or disability.
Just a Change, known for its impactful motto “Renovating Homes, Rebuilding Lives”, has been at the forefront of tackling housing poverty in Portugal. The organisation focuses on renovating and rehabilitating homes for individuals who lack proper living conditions, especially those facing financial difficulties. To date, Just a Change has renovated over 500 homes and 150 institutions, positively impacting the lives of 15,000 beneficiaries through the mobilisation of thousands of volunteers from Portugal and abroad.
