Lisbon’s main airport, Humberto Delgado Airport, also known simply as Lisbon Airport, is located just 7km (4.3) north of the city centre. The airport is named after a famous Portuguese Air Force general and politician. It is the busiest airport in Portugal and serves as the main gateway to the country’s many attractions, including the historic city of Sintra, the coastal town of Cascais, and the UNESCO-listed Jeronimos Monastery in Lisbon itself.
