Menzies Aviation Win Ten New Contracts With Airline Customers In Gatwick

Over the course of the last month, our team at Gatwick Airport (LGW) has experienced remarkable success agreeing 10 new contracts with airline customers following the withdrawal of another ground handler from the market.

With this expanded customer base, which includes Aegean Airlines, Icelandair, Pegasus Airlines, Ryanair, TAP Portugal, Thomas Cook Airlines, Travel Services, Tunisair, Ukraine International Airlines and Vueling Airlines, Menzies Aviation has cemented its position as the largest ground handler by volume at the airport.

Most significantly, the wins include our first Ryanair contract in the UK and the strengthening of our relationship with Thomas Cook.

The Popular Manaia Lounge Expands In Queenstown Airport

Passengers travelling through Queenstown Airport in New Zealand now have the option of relaxing, working or dining in our stylish new lounge whilst waiting for their flights.

Since its initial opening in 2014, the Manaia Lounge has been incredibly popular with passengers who have visited the South Island’s premier tourist destination. So much so that it has recently moved to a bigger space and almost doubled capacity from 75 to 120 guests. ‘Manaia’ is Maori for ‘protector of land, sea and sky’.

The lounge is located airside, upstairs in the international departure terminal with spectacular views out to The Remarkables mountain range.

Simon Hinman, VP - New Zealand, spoke at the official opening and had very high praise for the quality fit-out of the new lounge and in particular the décor and furnishings, “The effect is stunning; the colour scheme picks up on the hues of Central Otago and details such as the black and white photo wall, showing decades of local holiday photos, give it a unique flavour.”

Open daily, the lounge can be accessed by Qantas and Jetstar passengers as well as those with a Priority Pass or DragonPass. A ‘pay in’ option is also offered to all passengers travelling with other international airlines.
