Hyderabad Menzies Air Cargo certified for handling and storage of pharmaceuticals

Hyderabad Menzies Air Cargo has been certified by SGS India as compliant with the World Health Organisation’s Good Storage and Distribution Practices (WHO-GSDP).

GSDP is a quality system for warehouse and distribution centres which handle medicines, and this certification demonstrates Hyderabad’s dedication to good distributive practices and quality in every aspect of their service.

The certification audit assessed processes such as organisation and management, quality policies, facility management, equipment maintenance and security.

In 2010, Hyderabad Menzies became India’s first airport-based pharma zone, enabling them to process and export pharmaceutical products. They created a benchmark for dedicated temperature controlled cargo handling facilities, influencing other airports across India.

Ravinder Bolangdy, CEO Hyderabad Menzies said: “We are very proud to achieve this certification, which enables Hyderabad Menzies to provide pharma shippers with a secure GSDP corridor for their exports through HYD Airport to worldwide destinations.”
