GASHco team win Recognition Award
The Joint Inspection Group (JIG) have selected Gatwick Airport Storage and Hydrant Company (GASHco) to win a JIG Recognition Award.
JIG is an internationally recognised forum where experts in all aspects of the aviation fuelling industry come together to establish and enhance standards for safe handling and quality control of aviation fuels around the world. JIG Recognition Award winners are selected annually based on performance in inspection, health and safety, security and environment (HSSE).
GASHco was selected to win the Sustained Performance Award for 2017. Our team at GASHCo look after aviation fuel storage and supply system at Gatwick Airport on behalf of Shell, and safely delivered over 1.8 billion litres of fuel last year.
David Hunter, Terminal Manager, said: “It’s an honour and a testament to the team’s hard work that we received the Sustained Performance Award, which is based on performance over a 3-year period. Winning this shows a remarkable commitment to safety and operational excellence.”
