Aviation Handling Services signs Ryanair contract in Jordan

Aviation Handling Services (AHS) have signed a three-year handling contract with Ryanair at Amman International Airport, Jordan.

AHS will provide a wide range of services for Ryanair including Passenger Handling and Ramp Handling.

David O’Brien, Chief Commercial Officer for Ryanair, said: “Ryanair is pleased to announce our entry into the Jordanian market from March 2018, initially with one route from Paphos in Cyprus to Amman, and growing to 10 routes from October as part of our Winter 2018 schedule. By October we will have capacity to deliver almost 500,000 Ryanair customers per year to Amman and Aqaba airports in Jordan.”

Ferdinando Trella, General Manager AHS Amman, said: “We’re all excited to welcome Ryanair to Jordan with this new route. This is a fantastic opportunity to further expand our operations in the Middle East. This agreement demonstrates AHS’s goal to be the best handler in the region.”
