Ramp Duty Manager

Job summary

Ramp Duty Managers oversee all ground handling activities during a specific shift, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and compliance with airline and regulatory standards. They act as the primary point of contact for airlines, airport authorities, and internal teams, managing resources and resolving issues in real time to maintain service quality and on-time performance.

Roles responsibilities

  • Support ramp teams in daily activities while always ensuring safety and security standards are maintained.
  • Ensure accurate and timely incident reporting
  • Oversee communication systems and update staff on operational changes and standards
  • Monitor equipment, conduct vehicle checks, and ensure all audits are completed
  • Promote and maintain a safe, clean and compliant working environment

Technical skills

  • Proficient in incident and reporting systems
  • Knowledge of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and vehicle/equipment audit procedures
  • Manage, interpret and action audits findings and defect reporting systems

Soft skills

  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities
  • Clear and effective communication with customers and colleagues
  • Strong decision-making under high pressure.
