Raising money for charity the festive way

On 21st December the Menzies Aviation team in Glasgow Airport (GLA) arranged a Christmas Jumper Day to raise money for charity in memory of two colleagues who were lost at the beginning of the year.

After receiving permission from all customer airlines, staff paid £2 to be allowed to wear their Christmas jumpers during their shifts. All monies were donated to two charities; the ACCORD Hospice in Paisley and Macmillian Cancer Support.

A total of over £300 was raised for the charities.

Kenny Nicol, Station Manager Menzies Aviation stated;  “We were so glad to see Ramp, Front of House and Management & Administration staff all taking part in the fun for the day and helping to raise funds for a worthy cause. Thanks also to the airlines for supporting the Jumper Day and our team’s wonderful efforts.”
