Menzies Unveil Fairytale Lounge In Copenhagen

Eventyr Lounge launches in Copenhagen Airport’s International Terminal

Menzies Aviation launched a new lounge in Copenhagen Airport last week; Eventyr.

The name Eventyr is a bow to Hans Christian Andersen, the Danish adventure fairytale author and keen globetrotter whose travelling trunk resides in the terminal. The lounge is located at the top of Pier C in the International Terminal and offers a fantastic, 180 degree panoramic view from the runways and aircraft at the gates to Malmö, Sweden over the Øresund.

At 750 sqm, the space can accommodate 170 seated guests. The lounge is kitted out with designer furniture from Danish designers Hay and Erik Jørgensen and one wall is covered floor-to-ceiling with local plants, completing the modern design and unique, calming feel of the lounge.

The team in Copenhagen were joined by airline customers, airport staff and Menzies Aviation President & Managing Director, Forsyth Black; who cut the ribbon to the reception area.

Henrik Olsen, Menzies Aviation Lounge Manager, Copenhagen, said: “We were delighted to welcome the Copenhagen Airport team and our airline customers to our wonderful launch event this week. Eventyr Lounge is an exquisitely designed environment and will focus on providing top quality service, a peaceful atmosphere and an outstanding area to relax in before takeoff.”
