Menzies Macau Welcomes New Route

AirAsia Indonesia launches new route between Jakarta and Macau

The Menzies Macau team have successfully won the contract for AirAsia Indonesia’s new service between Macau and Jakarta, providing an additional three turnarounds per week.

AirAsia is one of the biggest low-cost airlines in the world. Based in Indonesia, the carrier operates a fleet of 22 A320s offering domestic and international services. With the addition of this route, four of AirAsia’s subsidiaries include Macau as a destination: AirAsia Berhad, Thai AirAsia, Philippines AirAsia and AirAsia Indonesia.

Raymond Lo, Menzies Macau Managing Director, said: “Over the past 13 years, AirAsia subsidiaries have carried more than 8 million passengers to and from Macau International Airport, so there is great potential for future routes to be launched.”
