Menzies Macau visit Shenzhen for logistics event

Menzies Macau representatives visited Shenzhen last month to promote cargo and logistics operations at Macau International Airport. Alongside delegates from Macau International Airport Co. Ltd. (CAM), Peter Chan (Head of Ground Operations and Cargo, Menzies Macau) and Anabela Barros (Head of Commercial and Customer Services, Menzies Macau) led the Menzies team on the trip.

The group visited the SF Express logistics centre, where they explored market trends and discussed potential opportunities with mainland Chinese industry partners. Particular focus was on businesses between Macau and Shenzhen, as there is a strong demand for high quality logistics service in areas such as Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau.

Alongside Frank Wu, CAM’s Director of Logistics and General Aviation Development, the Macau team hosted a welcome dinner for industry partners with the theme of “Macau: A Connection to the World”.

Raymond Lo, Managing Director of Menzies Macau, said: “Macau International Airport recorded over 16,000 tons of cargo volume in the first five months of 2018, which shows a 13% year-on-year growth. We are determined to continue to improve both our hardware and software to support the ever-increasing development of the cargo business in Macau and the wider region.”
