CCTC Kicks-off in New Zealand in Support of ‘I Have a Dream’

Menzies managers accompany children on life changing activities in New Zealand

12 Managers from across the Menzies network arrived in New Zealand earlier this month to take part in the second Cross Cultural Team Challenge 2017 in support of ‘I Have a Dream’.

The participants - nominated by their respective business leaders to take part in the challenge – spent the week with children from low decile schools and were set a challenge to facilitate ‘I Have a Dream’ days. They were split into four teams and provided the children with various unique, life changing activities, including: learning to paddle board, surfing the waves, an exciting airside visit to Auckland Airport and riding Wakas (Māori canoes).

Jo Harrison, VP Resource and Training, said: “The team are having a fantastic time learning more about themselves, the ‘I Have a Dream’ foundation and meeting the school children that benefit from the charity’s work. Special thanks to Simon Hinman, SVP New Zealand and Pacific Islands, and Michelle Stuck, General Manager Auckland, who were key in organising a wonderful airport visit for the children.”
