Menzies win Ground Handling contract for Cathay Pacific Cargo at HYD

e-Bulletin from Suresh Pillai - CEO HYD GH

I am delighted to announce that Cathay Pacific Cargo chose us as their partner for ground handling at Hyderabad. The Hong Kong based airline started their operations on 17th May. They currently operate B747, twice a week, to Hyderabad making it their fifth cargo port in India.

The contract win came after a competitive tender process followed by a thorough inspection of GSE records, personnel qualifications, past history of incidents and an Engineering Audit. My compliments go out to the entire team for proving we are the best in what we do and thereby earning many accolades from CX team during the entire process.

Cathay Pacific Airways also have plans to commence passenger flight operations in the last quarter of 2012. We all at Menzies Bobba Ground Handling Services look forward to that and further strengthening our relationship with Cathay Pacific.

Commenting on the launch of HYD freighter services Tom Wright, General Manager South Asia, Middle East and Africa said: “Cathay Pacific is happy to announce two new weekly freighter services to Hyderabad. The service will operate on the Hong Kong-Delhi-Bangalore-Hyderabad-Hong Kong route every Thursday and on the Hong Kong-Chennai-Hyderabad-Hong Kong route on Sundays. The move makes Cathay Pacific the first airline to offer air cargo services linking Hyderabad with east and north Asia”.
