Air Canada nominates ASIG staff member for GoMAD Award

ASIG employee Giovanni Corradini was presented a Menzies GoMAD Award at the request of Air Canada, making him the first ASIG staff member to receive the award.

GoMAD awards, or ‘Go Make A Difference’ awards, are presented to exemplary employees who promote excellent standards and that our customers wish to recognise.

Giovanni was acknowledged for helping a high profile passenger travelling from London Heathrow Airport with expensive pieces of art and an antique mirror. Having personally met the Air Canada concierge and the passenger, Giovanni safely secured the items in their own baggage container. Photos were taken during loading to keep the passenger well informed. On the same day, Giovanni effectively managed a cancelled flight, minimising passenger dissatsfaction.

Darren Constant, Baggage Manager, LHR, said: “Giovanni is a dedicated team member, always eager to give our customers and their passengers the best possible service. He fully deserves this recognition from Air Canada for an outstanding job well done.”
